Opioid Awareness and Education Marketing Campaign request for proposal awarded to Grant County Health District
February 7, 2019 -- North Central Accountable Community of Health (NCACH) has selected Grant County Health District (GCHD) to develop a marketing campaign to raise awareness and education on the opioid crisis and opioid use in Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties. The primary objective of this project is to increase knowledge among the general public about opioid use, with particular focus on increasing awareness of currently existing programs and resources, such as medication takeback boxes and syringe service programs, to address the opioid crisis here in the North Central region. This work is part of NCACH’s regional project addressing the Opioid Use Public Health crisis in North Central Washington under the state’s Medicaid Transformation Project efforts. This initiative builds off the North Central Washington Opioid Communication Plan, which was awarded $10,000 through NCACH’s Rapid Cycle Opioid Project program in 2018.“We are excited to partner with Grant County Health District on this initiative. They bring regional collaboration and direct experience to the table, which will be critical for the long-term success of this project,” says NCACH Project Manager, Christal Eshelman.More updates will be shared as the campaign is developed. To learn more about NCACH’s work to address the opioid crisis, please visit: ncach.org/opioid To learn more about Grant County Health District, please visit: granthealth.org
