NCACH awards $350,100 to projects to improve health in North Central Washington through community investment process

February 4, 2020 – For immediate releaseThe North Central Accountable Community of Health (NCACH) Governing Board passed a motion to allocate $350,100.00 in award funding to three finalist applicants to support health and wellness initiatives across North Central Washington at their monthly board meeting held on Monday, February 3. This funding, called Coalitions for Health Improvement Community Initiatives Funding, is made possible by NCACH under a statewide Medicaid Transformation Project.The funded projects include:

  • $125,000.00 to Chelan-Douglas Community Action Council to support a mobile food pantry and expansion of food access services in Chelan and Douglas Counties.
  • $100,000.00 to Okanogan County Community Action Council to support wrap-around services and coordination for homeless and unaccompanied youth in Okanogan County.
  • $125,100.00 to Grant Integrated Services to expand and enhance the work of the Grant County Suicide Prevention Taskforce across Grant County.

The three funded projects were part of two submission and review cycles for 2019 CHI Community Initiatives Funding. An earlier cycle of application submission and review was concluded in November 2019, and awarded $99,900.00 to five additional projects.
